Kenny Braasch and Mari Pepin are celebrating their honeymoon in the sun and sand!
The Bachelor in Paradise stars, who tied the knot in Puerto Rico on Nov. 11, 2023, enjoyed a husband and wife trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in late May.
“We had such a memorable stay at Hyatt Vacation Club's Puerto Rico property for our wedding, so when thinking about our honeymoon, we wanted to try a different Hyatt Vacation Club property — this time in Cabo San Lucas. Their resorts are so beautiful, and the hospitality is top notch,” Braasch tells PEOPLE of the Hyatt Vacation Club Sirena del Mar.
“We received such a warm welcome when we arrived at the hotel," adds Pepin. "It made us feel so special! We were greeted with fresh coconuts customized with our names and our villa was decorated from top to bottom with flowers, champagne and balloons. It definitely felt like the start of our honeymoon.”
The couple, who got engaged during the season 7 finale of the ABC dating reality series, soaked up the sun during their stay, and spent time relaxing by the pool and taking in the view. “It’s the most scenic place I think I’ve ever stayed in my life,” says Braasch.
Braasch and Pepin marked their nuptials with two ceremonies. Four months after they said “I do” in Puerto Rico, the couple celebrated again with a second bash in Chicago.

“This one is basically a huge theme party," Pepin told PEOPLE in March. “Even though I'll be wearing another wedding dress, we won't be having another walk down the aisle or ceremony this time. We decided to do a retro '70s and '80s theme to keep it more casual and fun rather than a formal thing.”
While the couple’s destination wedding was a more “intimate affair”, they knew they wanted to go all-out for their Chicago celebration.

"When we chose to do our first wedding in Puerto Rico, we knew that meant a lot of our friends, families, coworkers, etc. might not be able to make it with the traveling and time and costs, so from the beginning of the planning process we decided we'd have something local where everyone had a chance to celebrate with us," Pepin explained.
Now, as the couple settles back into life at home post honeymoon, they are enjoying every minute of being husband and wife.
"As a little girl, I always dreamed of my wedding day and what's it going to look like and what am I going to wear, but as you get older, you realize that that's not the important part,” Pepin told PEOPLE when they first got married.
“The important part is actually finding a person that you want to spend the rest of your life with and that you get along so well with. And it wasn't until I met Kenny that I was like, oh yeah, I'm not thinking about that as much as this is the kind of person that I want to be with. That's really made me realize that it was right,” she continued.
The former pageant queen also appreciates being out of the dating game now. “There's no more trying to figure out if some guy is playing games, this is it. It's locked down,” she noted. “I know that Kenny is the kind of person that I want to be with forever.”
