'Get Back Here!': Alligator Steals Golf Ball on Course in North Carolina

A small alligator made off with a golfer’s ball at a course in Leland, North Carolina, on August 21.

Footage shared by Angela Frost shows an alligator walking towards and entering a pond with her golf ball firmly between its teeth at the Cape Fear National Golf Course. Frost’s husband can be heard jokingly yelling at the creature to bring the ball back.

The small reptile is then seen semi-submerged in the waters trying to chew on it.

“Oh he’s eating it,” Frost’s husband can be heard saying in the video. “I think that’s a penalty shot.”

Frost told Storyful she had zero clue an alligator was lurking around when her ball landed in the sand near the 8th hole.

“At first I thought it was a log washed up in the debris,” Frost told Storyful. “As I got closer the ‘log’ moved!” Credit: Angela Frost via Storyful
