One of England's most renowned beaches has been compared to the serene sights of Bali, Indonesia.

It turns out (if the weather behaves and doesn't chuck it down with rain all day) the UK is actually quite beautiful. We might not realise it, but there are magical beaches with turquoise waters and surf-worthy waves all over the nation that attract millions of visitors each year.

Many Brits take for granted their own country, opting to fly to Spain every year for guaranteed sunshine and golden beaches. But if you time it right, you could enjoy the same natural beauty on your own doorstep, reports the Mirror.

Taking to TikTok, viral account UK Hidden Gems raved about the acclaimed Pedn Vounder in Cornwall, describing it as a "coastal gem". "It enchants visitors with its natural beauty and secluded charm," the travel account added.

"Tucked away near the village of Treen, this picturesque beach boasts breath-taking vistas and a sense of tranquillity that feels like a true escape from the bustling world."

Viewers flocked to the comments section in awe of the beach, with one user stating: "We're lucky to have beaches like this around us."

Another agreed, commenting: "The most beautiful beach! " While a third added: "Wow, now that's a beach."

Many pointed out Pedn Vounder is not the only stunning beach in Cornwall - while some said the place was a hotspot for "nudists". "We were the only one wearing clothes," one person recalled.

Situated at the end of the Penwith coast near Land's End, this picture-perfect beach isn't the easiest to reach. Parking is available at Porthcurno for approximately £2, followed by a 22-minute walk that includes some steep steps and challenging terrain.

Don't forget, you'll also have to make the climb back up after a day of sunbathing (or cloud bathing).

Parking spaces are limited and fill up quickly, so it's advisable to arrive early to avoid disappointment. The closest train station is in Penzance, from where you'd need to take a 15-minute taxi ride to Porthcurno to start your mini-hike.

However, even tickets from London to Penzance can be pricey, with costs reaching up to £300 for one person.
