Band Led by Goat Marches Into Cardiff Castle Ahead of Proclamation of King Charles III

A band led by a goat marched into Cardiff Castle ahead of the proclamation of King Charles III on September 11.

The march shows men from the 3rd Battalion the Royal Welsh, supported by the Band of the Royal Welsh, marching to the city’s castle accompanied by the regimental mascot, a Welsh billy goat called Lance Corporal Shenkin IV, and Goat Major Sergeant Mark Jackson, according to the Press Association.

King Charles III, the former Prince of Wales, was officially proclaimed King of the United Kingdom in a ceremony at St. James’s Palace in London, on Saturday, September 10.
