Being one of the most famous entertainers on the planet comes with perks when it comes to dealing with Apple, especially if your name is Barbra Streisand

In a recent interview on NPR, the singer revealed that she contacted Apple CEO Tim Cook to get the pronunciation of her name fixed on Siri — and he agreed to do it.

When show host Scott Simon decided to test Siri on air by asking a question that would bring up Streisand's name, Siri delivered but, according to Streisand, didn't get it completely correct.

"[Siri] pronounces my name wrong," said Streisand. "Streisand with a soft S, like sand on the beach. I've been saying this for my whole career."

Apparently, the mistake was important enough to Streisand that she decided to use her celebrity insider powers to reach the only person who could guarantee a fix: Cook.

"I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally," said Streisand.

According to the singer, the correct pronunciation will be included "with the next update on September 30th."

So while most us don't have such inside access, this hints that if you do find a mistake involving someone well known, Apple might just listen a little more closely. But don't expect a personal call from Cook.
