Liverpool look set to have a busy summer transfer window if the latest rumour mill has any basis of fact.

The Reds are being linked with several potential new signings for when the window reopens. It already promises to be a busy few months as the post-Jurgen Klopp era begins.

Klopp is set to depart at the end of the season and is expected to be replaced by Arne Slot in the Anfield dugout. And now reports are beginning to emerge around the players that could be signed ahead of Slot's first season in charge.

Luis Diaz

Barcelona have reportedly moved on from showing an interest in Luis Diaz by identifying an alternative target. The La Liga giants have been heavily linked with a move for the Liverpool winger in recent month.

But according to Spanish news outlet Sport, Barcelona have decided that it is "100 per cent unaffordable" to complete a deal to sign the Colombia international. As a result, the Camp Nou club have instead focused their attention on signing Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams as an alternative.

Williams has also been linked with a move to the Reds in the past. The 21-year-old signed a new deal with Bilbao back in December that keeps him contracted to the La Liga club until 2027.

Mohamed Amoura

Elsewhere, one of the latest rumours centres around Union Saint-Gilloise forward Mohamed Amoura. Reports in recent weeks have claimed that Liverpool are interested in signing Amoura, and now an update has emerged.

According to German news outlet Kicker, Bundesliga club Wolfsburg have also joined the race to sign the 24-year-old, who scored against the Reds for Union Saint-Gilloise in this season's Europa League.

But it has been claimed that despite Wolfsburg expressing an interest in signing Amoura, they will face competition from Liverpool. The report states that the Reds will provide "wealthy competition" to Wolfsburg for the Algeria international.

Dani Olmo

Meanwhile, according to Spanish news outlet Sport, Liverpool are one of several clubs showing an interest in signing Dani Olmo this summer. It has been stated that Olmo could leave RB Leipzig at the end of the season, with the Premier League a potential destination.

The report claims that the Reds are joined by Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City City in expressing an interest in signing the 26-year-old Spain international.

Teun Koopmeiners

Liverpool, meanwhile, look set to face fierce competition in the race to sign Teun Koopmeiners this summer. The Reds have been heavily linked with the Atalanta midfielder in recent months, with the speculation intensifying over the last few weeks.

According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Juventus are the favourite to sign Koopmeiners when the transfer window opens. It has been claimed that the Serie A giants have made the midfielder one of their top targets for the summer.

The report claims that Liverpool are in the race to sign Koopmeiners, who will have a "strong" interest with the arrival of fellow Dutchman Slot as manager. However, it has been claimed that negotiations are already taking place between Juventus and the player's representatives, but do not say if a deal is close to being agreed.
