Barnsley South General Election 2024 results in full

Across Barnsley, candidates have stood for seats in this year's General Election 2024.

The results are now being counted up, and the winning candidates are being announced. In Barnsley, there are three seats up for election, including Barnsley South, with candidates from a number of parties attempting to gain control.

This marks the first General Election since the constituency boundaries have been changed, meaning many will find themselves within new seats.

The results of the election are being counted up throughout the night of Thursday, July 4 into the morning of Friday, July 5, and most should be known by the morning. Some may take longer, but all should be known by the end of the day.
