Barrow and Furness general election 2024 results in full

Voters in Barrow and Furness have gone to the ballot box for the general election 2024.

A new Member of Parliament is being elected for the Cumbria constituency which includes the borough of Barrow-in-Furness, the Cumberland wards of Millom and Millom Without (most) and the Westmorland and Furness wards of Dalton North; Dalton South; Hawcoat and Newbarns; High Furness; Low Furness; Old Barrow and Hindpool; Ormsgill and Parkside; Risedale and Roosecote; Ulverston; Walney Island; and a very small part of Coniston and Hawkshead.

Ahead of the general election, the boundary was expanded and the MP was Conservative Simon Fell. He has represented the constituency since 2019.

The shock summer general election was called by Rishi Sunak on May 22, with elections taking place in all 650 seats across the UK. Since the 2019 general election major boundary changes affecting 90% of Parliamentary constituencies have come into force.

Ahead of the election, a Conservative government had been in power in Parliament since 2010.

Polls closed in the general election 2024 at 10pm on Thursday, July 4, with counts taking place overnight. Results from across the UK are expected in the early hours of Friday morning.
