Basingstoke General Election results 2024 in full as Labour win landslide in UK

The Basingstoke constituency has now decided it's new MP Luke Murphy. Labour has gained the seat from the Conservatives in what has been a wipeout night across the country.

A new Member of Parliament is being elected for the Hampshire constituency which includes the wards of Brighton Hill; Brookvale & Kings Furlong; Chineham; Eastrop & Grove; Hatch Warren & Beggarwood; Kempshott & Buckskin; Norden; Oakley & The Candovers; Popley; South Ham and Winklebury & Manydown.

Luke Miller won with 20,922 votes, while the area's former MP Maria Miller from the Conservative Party came in second with 14,438 votes. Reform picked up a following with 6,314 votes, followed by Greens (3,568), Lib Dems (3,176) and Hampshire Independents (571).
