The Batman's Robert Pattinson teams up with Robert Downey Jr for serial killer comedy
It's titled Average Height, Average Build
Robert Pattinson's star continues to shine as he'll next lead the cast of serial killer comedy Average Height, Average Build.
Deadline reports that Robert Downey Jr, Forest Whitaker, Amy Adams and Danielle Deadwyler are involved too, with Succession's Adam McKay on writer-director duties.
The intention is for shooting to begin by the end of summer or early autumn.
A year on from his maiden portrayal of Gotham's protector in Matt Reeves' The Batman, which saw him briefly tangle with Barry Keoghan's surprise Joker, Pattinson's new role is that of a killer who seeks the help of a lobbyist to change laws so that he can get away with murder more easily.
Marvel legend Downey Jr is set to play a retired cop in Average Height, Average Build, who refuses to give up on the murders, while the killer tries to shake him off the scent.
This comes after the actor's Tropic Thunder director and co-star Ben Stiller defended their satirical 2008 action-comedy on social media.
When a fan pleaded with him to "stop apologising for doing this movie[,] it was and still is funny AF... Even funnier now with cancel culture the way it is", Stiller cooly brushed off any backlash.
"I make no apologies for Tropic Thunder," he replied. "Don't know who told you that. It's always been a controversial movie since when we opened. Proud of it and the work everyone did on it."

Nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars - ultimately losing out to the late Heath Ledger that year - Downey Jr memorably played Kirk Lazarus, a method actor who undergoes "pigmentation alteration" to play a Black soldier.
