Battersea General Election 2024 results in full

Labour has held the constituency of Battersea in the 2024 General Election. The elected candidate Marsha De Cordova won by a majority of 12,039 votes. Ms. De Cordova secured 22,983 votes in the poll, ahead of the Conservatives candidate Tom Pridham in second place, who received 10,944 votes.

Residents in Battersea went to the polls on Thursday 4th July to choose the candidate who will serve as their MP in the next Parliament.

Counting of the General Election votes began after polls closed at 10pm on Thursday night, and the result in Battersea was published by the Press Association at 01:16 am on Friday

A total of 72,767 people were eligible to vote in Battersea, and of these 47,082 decided to complete a ballot paper, which meant the turnout in the constituency was 64.7 per cent.

The turnout figure in Battersea was down compared to the last general election in 2019, when 76.3 per cent of the electorate used their vote.

Marsha De Cordova (Labour) - 22,983 votes (48.8%).

Tom Pridham (Conservatives) - 10,944 votes (23.2%).

Francis Chubb (Liberal Democrats) - 4,826 votes (10.3%).

Joe Taylor (Green party) - 4,239 votes (9.0%).

Barry Edwards (Reform) - 2,825 votes (6.0%).

Dan Smith (WPB) - 499 votes (1.1%).

Georgina Burford-Connole (Rejoin) - 401 votes (0.9%).

Jake Thomas (Independents) - 216 votes (0.5%).

Ed Dampier (Soc Dem) - 149 votes (0.3%).

Most UK constituencies have changed boundaries or names since the last General Election but analysis of previous results based on the 2024 boundaries for Battersea shows that Labour won 2,474 fewer votes than in 2019.

At the 2019 General Election Labour won 46.4 per cent of the votes cast, and in the 2024 election the party's vote share increased to 48.8 per cent.

The Conservatives had a vote share of 35.4 per cent in 2019 and this fell to a 23.2 per cent vote share in 2024.
