BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst begs fans for 'help' after declaring 'enough is enough'

A BBC Breakfast star has broken her social media silence to ask for fans’ help. The star admitted about Instagram last month as she confirmed a hiatus from the site: "Maybe I love it too much… Because I’ve found myself scrolling all. The. Time".

BBC star Nina has now returned to the app, where she is asking her fans for help. The journalist returned to X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday to ask for tips on a girls trip to Birmingham on Sunday (April 14) as she visited the Second City.

She tweeted: "Afternoon all. Breaking my non-work social media hiatus to ask for recommendations for a girls’* weekend in the fine city of #Birmingham." Beside a tick emoji she added: "cocktails, curries, cosy pubs, interesting wanders" whilst next to a red cross she wrote: "having to shout or queue at dinner."

Last month, Nina confirmed her absence from socials when she confirmed: "Signing off from insta for a few weeks. I *love* this site. I don’t take myself, or the apparently perfect lives of others, too seriously. I howl laughing every day from a scarily accurate meme. I connect with lovely people who I don’t get to see IRL. And there are loads of cats and babies.

"Maybe I love it too much…. Because I’ve found myself scrolling all. The. Time. Catching up on people’s stories, having a nosey at how people live who have nothing to do with me, and (the absolute grossest) checking for likes."

Nina added: "I’ve never had so many plates to spin, and this little chick needs my full attention more often. (I also need to see if our friendship extends beyond the holiday planning and kitten memes @catpatfox @helenkavanagh @helenboylen ) See you soon x x x x And @samantha_metcalfe_mua you best not have seen this post !!!!!"
