BBC comedy show with Gregor Fisher and Greg McHugh begins filming in Glasgow

A new BBC comedy with a star-studded cast is set to begin filming in locations around Glasgow.

Only Child, a new six-part 30-minute comedy from BBC Comedy and BBC Scotland made by Happy Tramp North, will follow Richard and Ken's father-son relationship as they cope with neighbourly squabbles and generational differences.

The show stars Gregor Fisher and Greg McHugh as father and son. With Gary the Tank Commander himself playing the only child and budding actor, who travels back to his family home in Scotland to look after his ageing and wilful dad Ken, played by Fisher.

Filming will takes place around Glasgow as well as some locations in the North-East of Scotland.

As well as Fisher and McHugh, Only Child showcases a wealth of Scottish and Irish talent including Amy Lennox, Stuart Bowman, Forbes Masson, Clare Barrett, Robin Laing and Paul Rattray.

Greg McHugh said: "If you'd told my younger self graduating from drama school that one day I'd be shooting a father/son comedy with one of my heroes Gregor Fisher, I wouldn't have believed you.
