BBC EastEnders pulled off air in schedule shake-up announcement
Soap enthusiasts have had a rough time recently, with constant schedule changes and channel switches due to the general election coverage and the Euros 2024 tournament on BBC and ITV.
Typically, EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One. However, in recent weeks, it has aired slightly earlier, moved to a slot on BBC Two, or been completely removed from the schedules due to sports events dominating the airwaves.
Unfortunately, those looking forward to catching up with the drama in Albert Square on Monday, July 1, will be disappointed as the soap has been entirely removed from the TV schedule for both Monday and Tuesday, July 2. This is due to Wimbledon, which starts on BBC One at 2pm and continues until 6pm, causing further disruption to the schedules.
At 7:30pm, the BBC will then broadcast the Portugal v Slovenia match, which begins in Germany at 8pm. However, there's a silver lining - EastEnders has announced that BBC Two will air double episodes of the show on Wednesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 4.
