BBC's beloved radio personality, Scott Mills, has finally said 'I do' to his long-time partner Sam Vaughan in a beautiful ceremony in Barcelona.

The couple, who have been engaged for three years, were joined by fellow Radio 2 star Zoe Ball and former Radio 1 co-host Chris Stark for the sun-drenched nuptials. The 51-year-old broadcasting icon and his audio producer beau got engaged back in 2021 after a four-year romance.

They've been taking a break from work recently, flitting between Spain and the UK to finalise their wedding plans. Reflecting on the joyous occasion, Scott shared with the Mirror and other press: "We both had the most incredible day. To celebrate with all our close friends and family in Spain was so special. We are looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together."

Scott's good mate and former co-star Chris Stark took on the role of Master of Ceremony at the wedding held at Xalet Del Nin, a stunning villa overlooking the Balearic sea near Barcelona. Pop sensation Pixie Lott serenaded the couple with 'How Long Will I Love You' during the ceremony, while Geordie Shore's Joel Corry kept the party going into the wee hours at the reception.

Rylan, Scott's friend and former X Factor star, even hosted a pre-wedding bash on air last week leading up to the big day. Scott and Sam have been documenting their journey to the altar on social media, sharing photos from menu tastings and venue visits.

"Let's jet off to get married then @realscottmills," Sam posted ahead of the weekend, sharing an image that appeared to be from an airport lounge, with a glass of Prosecco in hand before flying off to Barcelona. Zoe also confirmed she'd be there, uploading a similar photo and captioning it: "it's happening", while tagging Scott and Sam.

On her breakfast show, Zoe excitedly told her listeners, "So this weekend our boy Scott Mills is getting married, to our friend Sam who often works on the breakfast show. So excited to watch them walking down the aisle."

Describing the couple, she added, "They are gorgeous, gorgeous boys," Chris, now at Capital FM, also indicated he would be present, posting an image of Barcelona's sunset on Friday. He and Scott were colleagues during their time at BBC Radio 1.

Reflecting on his emotional departure from Radio 1 last October, nearly a year after leaving, Scott shared with the Mirror, "Weird, I remember the last show, there was such a build-up and there's lots of surprises that they don't tell you about. Had a little cry at the end of the show which I've never done before, it's never happened, not that there's anything wrong with it."

He added: "It really got me at the end, we had a big party and I woke up the next day and I was like 'That's it', when you're in the final throws of it, it doesn't feel like it's ending and then it just stops."

He drew parallels with his stint on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2014. "It's the same, we're all this big happy family, then you get knocked out and it's like 'Right, where are we training on Monday morning? ' It takes a while to get your head around."
