BBC Saturday Kitchen viewers demand show 'changes name' and slam 'what producers think of them'

BBC Saturday Kitchen fans have demanded the show "change its name" after Saturday's programme. On June 15, Matt Tebbutt was joined by chefs Theo Randall and Sophie Wyburd. There are some great moments from the BBC food archive, including clips from Rick Stein, the Hairy Bikers, Nigella Lawson and Marcus Wareing.

Drinks expert Helen McGinn picked the wines to go with the studio dishes. But on social media, fans were left less than happy with the programme. One X user fumed: "How much time and money do the producers of #SaturdayKitchen think we have how about some affordable and less time consuming recipes. One or two would be good." Another said: "Noone on @SaturdayKitchen ever washes their damn hands properly after touching raw meat.

"They bring on these people who rinse their hands and continue to touch the rest of the food and all i can think is "Nope. i would never eat at ANY of their restaurants thank you"" Another moaned: "They should change the name of this programme to Saturday Book Flog… #saturdaykitchen "

Can we have this sort of serving every week pls?!"

Another said: "Great debut by #SophieWyburd on @SaturdayKitchen Agree with @knackeredmutha point (from Sophie's cookbook) that crisps are non-negotiable pre dinner parties giving the host more time to prepare #SaturdayKitchen"
