BBC Saturday Kitchen viewers 'disgusted' after guest 'mixes up her facts'

BBC Saturday Kitchen fans have hit out at Michelle Collins after she seemingly mixed up her facts about BBC EastEnders. The BBC star was in the studio alongside host Matt Tebbutt from Saturday June 15 as the latest episode of the programme aired.

"Looking forward to seeing #SophieWyburd making her #SaturdayKitchen @SaturdayKitchen debut Let's hope we get some sun to match her summery dishes," wrote a fan. "Having my coffee and watching the fabulous @missmcollins on @SaturdayKitchen #saturdaykitchen," said another.

Another said: "All looks delicious! This looks as though it will be an amazing show, love Theo Randall and his delicious Italian food! Don’t understand why guests have to be so picky and spiky with their comments."

But issuing a complaint, a fan said: "Disgusting!!...can't michelle get her facts correct?? Eastenders started in 1985 NOT 1988!!" A second said: "Eastenders started in 1985… #saturdaykitchen" Another said: "How long was she away from Eastenders?… #saturdaykitchen"

"Pls ask Michelle if there's ever going to be a follow up to a 1000 miles of sky?" another asked. Another agreed: "There’s more Fake laughter than food in this show …every week … But it makes Twitter a meltdown job #SaturdayKitchen"

"Dirty Den, Kathy, and now Cindy back from the dead in Eastenders. Roly the dog will be back next. #Saturdaykitchen #eastenders," another fumed. And another said: "I cook everything in the airfryer even flapjacks! That is useless we are having a big meal then the oven is used. #SaturdayKitchen"

Another wrote: "After this showing, I wonder how long it is before Michelle Collins gets her own Channel 5 air fryer show? #SaturdayKitchen" The 62 year old is best known for her role as Cindy Beale in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, and has also appeared as Stella Price in ITV's Coronation Street. Her other notable TV roles include the BBC dramas Real Women, Sunburn and Two Thousand Acres of Sky.
