Sort Your Life Out's Dilly Carter has been hospitalised, sharing a poignant message with her followers from her hospital bed.

The 43 year old friend and co-star of Stacey Solomon on the BBC's DIY programme took to social media to assure her fans that they were "not alone," posting a photo of herself in a hospital bed with a nasogastric tube. The "professional organiser" gave an update on her health, revealing she had been left "traumatised" after receiving treatment for stomach issues that severely affected her breathing and speech.

In 2023, Dilly courageously disclosed her diagnosis with stage one cancer of the womb and has since been transparent about her recovery process. However, over the bank holiday, she needed urgent medical attention and shared a picture post-procedure, explaining that a drainage tube insertion had rendered her speechless, reports the Mirror.

She captioned the image: "So my bank holiday weekend in Brighton didn't quite turn out..... my stomach wasn't playing ball. I had to have it drained due to a blockage making me sick.

"I've actually been quite traumatised by the process so haven't been able to focus as I currently still have a tube up my nose and directly into my stomach draining excess fluids... it's been a while since I've been speechless. But this literally has taken my breath and speech away it was such an ordeal."

Dilly shared that she is recovering from the procedure, but hopes it's the last time she has to go through something like this: "Luckily I'm better since the procedure but wow. I hope that's the first and last time I ever have to have that".

In another Instagram post, the DIY expert reached out to her followers who are dealing with health issues, reminding them they are "not alone" and acknowledging how "exhausting" recovery can be.

She posted: "Just a shout out to all those with ongoing health issues post cancer, post any major illness. I see you, I feel you, I know how exhausting and draining it is. You are not alone... I feel much better than I look. Once this tube is out today I'll be home and back to normal."

Back in 2023, Dilly made her announcement and updated fans that her health was improving after undergoing treatment.

Explaining her brief absence from Sort Your Life Out on social media, the decluttering guru revealed that during the filming of the episode in October 2022, she was undergoing major surgery to remove her cancer.

Dilly took to Instagram to share her feelings, stating: "I haven't seen any episodes yet so I can't wait to watch this one. Although it's bittersweet for me and reminds me of how poorly I was and how much pain I was in when this episode was filmed."

She went on to say: "I had just come out of the hospital following major surgery to remove the cancer and my entire reproductive system. I obviously could not film, so I was so grateful someone could step in."
