Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to our TV screens in just a few months as a set of famous faces take to the dance floor once again in the hope of walking away with the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

This season will mark 20 years since Strictly first appeared on our screens and according to Tess Daly, there are hopes of some special surprises along the way.

The official line-up is yet to be announced however that hasn’t stopped rumours of which celebs may be appearing on the BBC hit show. Below is a list of some rumoured Strictly Come Dancing 2024 cast.

Gino D'Acampo

This Morning chef and telly star Gino D'Acampo has been tipped as one of the stars expected to appear on the BBC show, reports the Express.

Back in 2019, he spilled to the Daily Star that he'd been approached but time wasn't on his side.

Shona McGarty

Shona recently left her Eastenders role as Whitney Dean after an impressive 16 years. With some free time on her hands, she might just be swapping Walford for waltzing.

In a heart-to-heart with Best magazine in 2021, she confessed her dream of joining Strictly was only dampened by her jitters.

"I was asked a few years ago to go on the show", she revealed. "But my anxiety got the better of me and I thought I would be too nervous to do a live show."

Hannah Waddingham

The name of Ted Lasso's leading lady and vocal powerhouse Hannah Waddingham is also being bandied about for a spot in the Strictly 2024 line-up.

Rumours are swirling that 49-year-old Waddingham has been tapped by the BBC for a spin on the Strictly dance floor, and with her chum Anton Du Beke on the judging panel, she might just be persuaded to strut her stuff, The Mirror reports.

Clive Myrie

BBC's very own Clive Myrie, who has previously declined the glitterball challenge, could be hinting at a change of heart.

After posting a video clip showcasing his moves from 'Clive Myrie's Caribbean Adventure' and cheekily tagging the Strictly account with "What do you say @bbcstrictly? Are my moves up to par? ", he's got fans wondering if he'll finally take the plunge.

On Morning Live, when probed about joining Strictly, Myrie playfully responded: "I don't know. Who knows, maybe one day."

Laura Kenny

Retired from cycling with an impressive haul of 12 Olympic golds, Dame Laura Kenny may now be setting her sights on a new kind of competition the glamour of the ballroom.

Perri Kiely

Perri Kiely, the familiar face from Diversity's 2009 Britain's Got Talent victory and 2019 Dancing On Ice champ, is rumoured to join the Strictly line-up.

However, speaking to Digital Spy, he expressed concerns about potential backlash due to his dance background: "People thought I was cheating on Dancing on Ice, let alone Strictly Come Dancing."

Chris McCausland

Comedian Chris McCausland is reportedly set to join the 2024 series of Strictly, making him the first-ever blind celebrity contestant. However, he has not confirmed this news, even when directly questioned by Alex Jones on The One Show.

Jill Scott

Former England footballer Jill Scott wowed fans in 2022 when she emerged as the winner of I'm A Celebrity. Professional dancer Neil Jones has expressed his desire for Scott to be his celebrity partner on Strictly Come Dancing, which could potentially sway the Lioness to agree.

Tom Malone Jr

Ex-Gogglebox star Tom Malone Jr left the popular Channel 4 show and might be seeking a fresh opportunity to return to television.

He previously expressed interest in participating in Strictly, telling Express: "If the opportunity came up to go on Strictly as a contestant, I've never done Ballroom in my life, so it'd be interesting to see how as someone who breaks."

Mollie Pearce

BBC's successful series The Traitors may have some of its cast members joining Strictly with season two runner-up Mollie Pearce's name being mentioned.

Her participation could serve as a "positive moment of representation" given her stoma and limb difference.

Perrie Edwards

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards volunteered herself for the dance competition during her appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show earlier this year.

She confessed that initially, she was "really scared" to dance in the band but eventually found her groove.

Perrie revealed: "I was just so terrified and uncomfortable dancing that I just didn't want to do it I just wanted to stand and sing... Now, I love it. I absolutely love dancing. I actually would love it [Strictly Come Dancing]."

Sophie Morgan

The name of Sophie Morgan, known for her role on Loose Women, has also been floated as a potential contestant for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

In addition to her work on Loose Women, she presents Channel 4's Paralympics coverage. There were whispers of her joining the show in 2023, sparking speculation that this might be the year she steps onto the Strictly dance floor.
