BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Layton Williams says 'we're back' as fans left emotional over 'final' update

Fans of the recent series of Strictly Come Dancing have been left emotional as Layton Williams made a huge announcement saying he’s ‘back’ with his dancing partner.

Actor Layton, who has appeared in Bad Education and fronted the UK tour of hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, took part in the most recent series of the hit BBC dancing competition when he made it to the final with professional Nikita Kuzmin.

Originally from Bury, Layton told fans on social media that he’s ‘back’ with Nikita, who recently came runner-up on Celebrity Big Brother, for a special show in his hometown that will see them dance together ‘for the final time’.

As part of a special Layton & Nikita LIVE show, the duo will perform at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall on June 30, followed by a second, final show at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London on July 16.

The show has been described as a ‘fierce and fabulous dance extravaganza with a live band and backing dancers’ as well as a unique opportunity to see the two stars dance on stage together. Ticket go on sale on Friday (April 19).

Posting on Instagram, Layton wrote: “We're BACK! Absolutely buzzing to be reunited in Manchester & London for 2 shows ONLY!! Come watch us dance together for the final time.”

The news was met with prasie from fans and cleebrities, with Clara Amfo writing "Okurrrr", whilst fellow Strictly professional Dianne Buswell said: “Go on boys.” One fan wrote: "Omg!! I will definitely be there at Manchester!!". Another commented: "Oh boys, I am sooooo coming for this!! Can't wait, so proud of you both!"

Another fan said: "Can I start begging for a livestream/recording of this already for all of us who won't be able to travel this far?” Whilst another said they were emotional at Layton’s suggestion it would be the last time the pair would be together, by writing: “Not the final time!” Another added: “Please don’t be the last time.”
