Strictly's James Jordan stirs up a storm with cheeky plea for an 'ironing lady' to replace his wife Ola. The former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, James Jordan, has caused quite the stir online after seeking out someone to iron his clothes, claiming his wife Ola isn't up to scratch.

The 41 year old, who married fellow dance star Ola in 2003, took to social media today (April 20) with a tongue-in-cheek request that didn't sit well with everyone. James quipped: "Hi guys. Anyone know a decent ironing lady in the West Malling area - as my wife is s**t at it."

His post quickly divided his 364,000 followers, sparking a debate in the comments section. One follower hit back: "Try being an ironing man.", reports the Express.

While another challenged: "Why does it have to be an ironing 'lady'? And you can't iron yourself?"

Someone else joked: "I hope Ola doesn't see that! " and another added: "Lol can't believe you just said that." Another supporter wrote: "Good girl Ola! ".

A different user suggested: "With the other posters here, off you go James, the iron is in the cupboard."

"Buy a clothes steamer," advised one, with another echoing: "Really! Have you ever tried ironing yourself?"

Yet, some fans defended James' sense of humour, with one saying: "People really don't get your sense of humour, do they?"

Another fan expressed: "That made me laugh although I see some people don't 'get' you, well I do."

James and Ola, who first crossed paths when she was 18 and he was 21, recently shared insights into their long-standing relationship during a heartfelt interview, having been together for over two decades.

Ola Jordan, the former Strictly Come Dancing professional, confessed to HELLO!: "I wake up in the morning and I breathe the wrong way, I walk the wrong way, I do the coffee wrong."

She admitted that their life together can be stressful but quickly added, "we love each other dearly".

Her husband James Jordan chimed in: "We've got a beautiful daughter and as my dad always used to say, and it's true, 'Marriage can be like a job sometimes, you've got to work at it.'".
