BBC Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood announces career change ahead of 2024 series

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has revealed a big career changed ahead of the 2024 series.

The 59-year-old has appeared on the popular dancing competition show for two decades, and is the only judge to have appeared on every edition. He began his career as a dancer as a young age, and has now confirmed he is adding another string to his bow.

Craig has announced he will release his debut solo album in the coming months, ahead of an extensive UK tour in 2025.

Titled ‘Revelations: Songs Boys Don’t Sing’, the album will be released on October 18, with Craig's debut solo Single, a dance floor update of Dame Shirley Bassey’s classic ‘This Is My Life’, out today (Monday, June 17).

Then, Craig's 53-date UK tour will begin on April 4, 2025, in Eastleigh, and end in Dunfermline on June 28. He will perform at the Liverpool Philharmonic on June 21, 2025.

Craig said: "Throughout my musical journey, I've had the privilege of performing as both a dancer and a singer in numerous musicals. However, this album holds a special place in my heart as I've had the opportunity to select songs that truly resonate with me.

"The album is a perfect blend of drama, pathos, romance, and a touch of high camp. I've poured my heart and soul into every note, hoping that you will love each and every song. Thank you for joining me on this incredible musical journey. I can't wait for you to experience the magic of my album.”

Strictly series 20 will begin this autumn, and Craig will be back on the judging panel along with Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and head judge Shirley Ballas.
