'Beautiful' home for sale comes with its own village - but there's a catch

A "beautiful" home in Cornwall has gone on the market and it's got an incredibly unique feature hidden in the garden. The house is located in Polperro, which will be enough of a draw for most buyers - as many dream of living in the charming fishing village that's popular with tourists and locals alike.

One of the perks of living there is that only residents or those conducting business in the area are permitted to drive on the roads. This means that while tourists do flock to the village, their vehicles are parked far up the hill, providing some tranquillity for the locals. Couple that with the tidal beach and an annual festival that celebrates the area and it's easy to see why so many people love the unique Cornish town.

But hidden in the garden is this property's most unique feature - an entire model village, of, you guessed it, Polperro. The Polperro model village has been a popular attraction since the 1950s. Despite surviving numerous fires and floods over the years, it remains a beloved part of the community.

Now, this miniature replica of Polperro is up for sale, along with the attached house, reports the Mirror.

Listed by Carla Jones Estate Agents on Rightmove, the property was originally built on an old forge. It has since been transformed into a detailed model of Polperro, even featuring a tiny model village within the model village itself.

In addition to the model village, there's also a model train set and another exhibit called Land Of Legends. This interactive display educates visitors about the rich folklore and history of Polperro, as seen through the eyes of workers, pirates, and smugglers.

This unique property, complete with its own model village, is currently listed for £725,000. The price includes a beautiful house, providing a place to live while you manage this one-of-a-kind attraction.

Rightmove describes the property as a "very well presented three-bedroom home with a lovely sun terrace where the new owners can take full advantage of what is on offer".

Despite its unusual nature, the photos reveal that the property retains a certain charm and beauty.
