Beck is new Main Street Greensburg director

May 3—GREENSBURG — Main Street Greensburg has named Allison Beck as the organization's new executive director.

Beck is from Shelby County and attended Waldron Jr./Sr. High School.

She moved to Greensburg in 2016 and said she fell in love with the community. She married her husband, Andy, in 2022 and they have three children: Zoey, Sophie and Joseph.

Beck wants to nurture the culture that has developed in the downtown area. She hopes to secure funding to strengthen Main Street Greensburg's existing and future grant programs.

As director, the balance of her time will be spent supporting all commerce on Greensburg's growing downtown Square.

"I want the downtown merchants to know they can reach out and I will do my best to see if Main Street Greensburg can assist in any capacity," she said. "If the challenge is something I can't handle, I will point them in the direction of other resources."

"We're excited to see the promotion of Allie to executive director of Main Street," Mayor Joshua Marsh said. "Allie has been a vital part of the Main Street team since late 2022, first as the Main Street admin and now as the executive director. She has been an integral part of expanding the Farmers Market, supporting our downtown vendors, and assisting in the creation of our new Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area. The city is proud to continue supporting Main Street, and we can't wait to see what's in store for our downtown Square."
