Belfast West General Election 2024 results in full

Voters across the Belfast West constituency have been going to the polls in the 2024 General Election to choose their new MP.

West Belfast had 10 candidates battling for the votes of people in the constituency and returned Paul Maskey to the seat, on Friday morning.

After the 2023 Review of Parliamentary Constituencies, Derriaghy, Dunmurry, Falls, Shankill and Woodvale now fully fall within this constituency. Sinn Féin have dominated this seat since Gerry Adams won the poll in 1997 with 55.9% of the vote.

Paul Doherty (SDLP) - 4,318 votes

Gerard Herdman (Aontú) - 904 votes

Ash Jones (Green Party) - 451 votes

Tony Mallon (Independent) - 161 votes

Paul Maskey (Sinn Féin) - 21,009 votes

Ann McClure (TUV) - 2,010 votes

Frank McCoubrey (DUP) - 4,304 votes

Eóin Millar (Alliance) - 1,077 votes

Ben Sharkey (UUP) - 461 votes

Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, July 4, with counts taking place overnight. Results from Belfast West were announced just before 6am.
