Bolton foodies can rejoice as two local food businesses team up this Bank Holiday Monday.

Ice cream parlour Milk Maids is hosting Cugini Pizza's van today.

The ice creamery based at Deardens Farm, Over Hulton, will be open from 10am to 5pm today, with the pizzeria joining them between 12pm and 4pm.

A Milk Maids spokesperson said: "We’re open as normal from 10am to 5pm this Bank holiday Monday and have Cugini Pizza joining us from 12pm."

Cugini said: "What bank holiday dreams are made of… We’re at Milk Maids today from 12pm to 4pm for a double treat."

This comes after Cugini moved into Ramsbottom Cricket Club in April, already having had bases at Edgworth Cricket Club and the Nook n Cranny Harwood, as well as a pizza van which tours Bolton.

The business is run by three cousins who started in their aunt's back garden in Harwood, before growing it into the business it is now.

Milk Maids has been one of Bolton's favourite ice cream parlours for years, even counting Bolton Wanderers stars in its customer base.

It is known for its range of gelato flavours, milkshakes and fresh produce such as milk, eggs and potatoes.
