Below Deck Med Interior Crew Calls Out Kyle: ‘We Are Definitely Not Friends’ — Watch Video

Looks like it won’t be smooth sailing for the remainder of Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8.

Kyle Viljoen had already stirred up drama between fellow cast members Tumi Mhlongo and Natalya Scudder, but in the last two episodes the interior crew seemed to be getting along. This weekend at BravoCon, however, the Below Deck Med crew told TVLine that friendship-ruining drama is on the horizon.

Here’s how it all began: Kyle and Tumi had been texting about Natalya’s poor attitude. Tumi said if they weren’t all able to get along, she worried that someone would have to leave the vessel. As Below Deck‘s resident gossip, Kyle relayed the information to Natalya with a bit of embellishment: If she didn’t respect Tumi — the boat’s chief stew — Natalya would be kicked off the boat.

“I think looking back at that, I was only protecting my best friend,” Kyle explained to TVLine at BravoCon, “by saying, you know, there’s a lot of overreaction from your side — I know what could happen as a consequence.”

Initially, Kyle’s gossip led to fierce verbal sparring between Natalya and Tumi, but the pair patched things up in Episode 5. As of BravoCon, both stews said they remain in a good place.

But are Kyle and Natalya still best friends? According to Kyle, “Absolutely not.”

And Natalya agreed. “We are definitely not friends,” she said, adding that they will not be talking at the reality TV convention.

And when TVLine asked Tumi about Kyle, she only had one response: “Who’s Kyle?”

The cast couldn’t divulge any more details about the falling out, so fans will have to tune in to new episodes airing Mondays at 8 pm ET on Bravo to see how everything unfolds.
