Ben Shephard, the host of ITV's This Morning, accidentally revealed a significant secret about Tipping Point during Thursday's (July 4) episode.

The 49 year old presenter and his co-host Cat Deeley were back for another instalment, entertaining viewers nationwide with their new game, Coin Drop.

Coin Drop, which started this week, offers viewers the chance to win a staggering £20,000. Once a caller gets through to Cat and Ben, they are given a coin to drop into the machine.

The coin can land on any amount at the bottom of the board once it's slotted into one of the seven numbers at the top by either Cat or Ben. However, during today's show, Ben pointed out that the game bears a striking resemblance to his popular quiz show, Tipping Point.

When the coin got stuck and didn't fall to the bottom of the board, Ben let slip a Tipping Point secret. He exclaimed: "Hold on a sec, so we have a little incident here! ", reports the Mirror.

Addressing Cat, he added: "This occasionally happens on a show that I do. You never see it though because we can edit it, this live. So I'm going to take this out and we're gonna drop it again."

He then returned the coin to Cat after humorously suggesting that she had broken the board.

Tipping Point airs at 4pm weekdays on ITV. Like the new game Coin Drop, viewers on Tipping Point also stand a chance to win up to £20,000.

This Morning's loyal fans were somewhat left disgruntled following the introduction of a new game, Coin Drop, which has replaced the show's renowned Spin To Win.

Unlike its predecessor, Coin Drop isn't free to enter. Thus, it led to a flurry of complaints on X, where frustrated viewers voiced their grievances.

One dismayed viewer vented: "Cannot believe they replaced the free spin to win with a £2 entry game of bl***y plinko."

Another chimed in adding: "This s*** has replaced spin to win and there's a £2 fee, no thanks."

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
