Ben Shephard was left saying 'it's over' with Cat Deeley after she was left jokingly unimpressed by his cheeky behaviour live on air. The pair joined forces last month as the new permanent hosts of This Morning, replacing Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Before going live on their show at 10am on Wednesday (April 24), Ben and Cat spoke to Lorraine Kelly about what viewers could expect on the show. The trio ended up discussing open relationships as there was an interview with a couple who claimed their marriage was all the better for it.

While both Lorraine and Cat agreed they couldn't be bothered with being in an open relationship, former Good Morning Britain host Ben seemed more intrigued. "How do you fit it all in – that’s what I'm going to ask," he declared laughing.

He then turned to Cat and giggled: "That was a similar question to yesterday wasn't it?" as his face was quickly awash with a cheeky grin, referring to the interview they did with the man who claims to have Britain's biggest penis.

While Cat appeared disgusted, Lorraine wasn't amused either and chastised him saying: "Ben Shephard you’re so grotty. No, I don’t have the energy for all that (open relationship)..." As she spoke Cat got up and walked off while laughing, showing it was all in jest although Ben then told Lorraine: "This open relationship just ended," indicating he and his co-host.

"But I'm very pleased to say that those dreams are an important part of our life. But I'll leave it there," he added, referring to a segment on her show in which they discussed dreams, before smiling at Lorraine. She appeared flustered, before adding: "I think we should as we'll get into trouble again."

As mentioned, Lorraine had spoken to a dream expert about lucid dreams and erotic dreams, which Ben conveniently mentioned during their exchange. He cheekily said: "I started blushing Lorraine when you started talking about erotic dreams because of the dream I had last night."
