While Benidorm may conjure up images of raucous nights out and stag parties, thanks to its portrayal in the popular 00s sitcom, there's more to this Spanish city than meets the eye.

Indeed, beyond the lively nightlife and all-inclusive resorts, the area is home to a wealth of natural beauty spots for those willing to venture off the beaten track.

One such hidden gem is the stunning Cala Almadraba beach, a secluded cove that offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling main strip.

Despite being just a nine-minute drive from central Benidorm, this picturesque spot remains largely undiscovered by tourists, thanks to the privacy provided by its surrounding trees and rugged landscape.

However, one travel blogger has taken to social media to shine a spotlight on this beautiful destination, reports the Express.

Karina Spain shared an aerial view of the pristine coastline on TikTok, showcasing the sandy shores, crystal clear waters, and people enjoying a swim in the sea.

Cala Almadraba has also been receiving rave reviews on TripAdvisor.

As reported by the Liverpool Echo, one user of the travel review site praised the cove, saying: "This stunning little cove is just a few hundred yards away from the main Levante beach in Benidorm."

They added: "It offers a peaceful setting on a rocky beach with a few sandy areas others have made to sunbathe on."

"Crystal clear water to swim and snorkel in with thousands of different types of fish."

"No one bothers you other than to say hi or good morning. Couples and singles of both sexes so it's a comfortable place to relax. Super clean too."

However, would-be travellers should be aware that Cala Almadrava is frequented by nudists.

One beach goer commented that they estimated around "80 percent" of those at the beach were naked.

Another visitor revealed: "Absolutely stunning little beach, close enough to the main Levante beach and town but secluded thanks to being tucked into a little bay. Clothing optional! ".

"Shallow, crystal clear water, we didn't get a chance but it would be ideal for snorkelling. Narrow path then rocky descent to the beach itself."

Meanwhile, a comment on Google Reviews says: "Best beach in Benidorm. Quiet clean and relaxing. No kids."

"Bit of a trek down but it's worth it for a few hours."
