Bentley that starred as royal transport in The Crown to be auctioned in Cheshire

A Bentley that starred as royal transport in smash-hit TV series The Crown is set to go under the hammer at a class car auction in Cheshire.

The 1995 Bentley Brooklands carried the actors portraying Prince Charles and Princess Diana in the series, as well as young Prince Harry.

Scenes in the Netflix show saw Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki, who played the royals in the last two seasons, using the vehicle.

With an estimated price tag of £12,000 - £15,000, the car boasts the classic Bentley grille and dual headlights with wraparound parking lights.

The current owner acquired the Peacock Blue car three years ago from a specialist in London.

Previously residing in Scotland, it was chosen as the conveyance of The Prince of Wales in Series 5 and 6 of The Crown.

The car's registration plate, G8 AOX, also appeared onscreen and forms part of the sale.

The Bentley Brooklands was introduced in 1992 to replace the Mulsanne and Bentley Eight.

The real King Charles has used the car brand many times over the years, including previously owning a 1994 Bentley Turbo RL and using a state Bentley on a state visit to Germany in 2023.

The vehicle will be auctioned by Classic Car Auctions on 1 June at their Tatton Park Sale in Knutsford.
