Devon is home to the 'world's best burger', according to the UK's 'number one' food reviewer. The highly esteemed food critic, Matt Binge, has praised a burger from a Plymouth eatery, Zephyr Burgers, as reaching 'new scale levels of perfection.'

Matt, who is also known as the 'UK's Number One Food Reviewer', even suggested that the burger he recently devoured at the Drake Circus restaurant 'could be the best burger in the world. '.

The renowned food reviewer has been expressing his admiration for the city's restaurant to his 174,000 Instagram followers. Earlier this week, he posted an Instagram video teasing fans about the 'best burger' he had ever tasted.

He teased: "BUT where is it? A MASSIVE review drops tomorrow..." He later disclosed to his followers that he was referring to the Drake Circus restaurant.

Matt, the founder of Food Review Club, has also been singing praises of the place on his Instagram stories. In the video, he informed his fans: "I have eaten at nearly all the top burger spots. Some of which I hate, some of which I love. And then there's burgers like that. I don't want to disrespected anyone else in the game but that burger I have just had there today is new scale levels of perfection. That is the best burger I have put in my mouth.", reports Plymouth Live.

Instagram user 'Fezz Zaahh' was clearly impressed, commenting: "Wow, big statement." Meanwhile, 'foodmunkey' seemed to agree, saying: "I think Matt likes the burger.... "The sentiment was echoed by 'Kem', who simply stated: "Gave me goosebumps," and 'colmad08' advised: "When the man speaks, you listen."

In 2021, Zephyr Burgers earned the title of best burger in the city from readers, and the accolades didn't stop there. The following year, owner and chef Oz Harborth was celebrated as the burger chef of the year at the National Burger Awards.

Upon receiving this honour, Oz shared his philosophy: "Everything we do is centered around creating amazing and memorable food, so our approach to getting there is to always put the food first. The suppliers we work with, the ingredients we use and the processes we develop all help to ensure our food delivers maximum flavour."
