Designed to feed between five and six people, for £200 a group can feast on a whole roast lamb shoulder served with minted new potatoes, lamb fat carrots, a pea, mint and Ticklemore salad, black garlic and yoghurt sauce and plenty of gravy, followed by a hot cross bun bread pudding drizzled in warming earl grey custard.

Colagreco doesn’t do things by halves. This good Friday and the following Saturday, he’ll be serving a refined four course menu for those looking to dine with a touch of polish. Beginning with cauliflower served with a confit egg yolk, cauliflower cream and a fenugreek emulsion, the second course will be rhubarb with mascarpone, dulse seaweed and a rhubarb aguachile. To follow, for mains diners can expect delicately cooked turbot with a leek bearnaise and cockle ragout, before a dessert of rice pudding with rice and milk crisps, and a scoop of orange ice cream.

If you’re in the mood for a truly vibrant feast, make haste to one of this Sri Lankan and South Indian restaurant group’s locations in Soho, Marylebone or King's Cross. Set to the melodies of a live jazz band which will perform from 1pm-4pm on Easter Sunday, here the set lunchtime menu will feature a mix of the institution’s classic dishes and new creations by head chef Andy McLay. Visitors can select either two or three courses, with starters including sea bass crudo with blood orange and fennel, and baked Portland crab tart with bitter leaves and aioli. Meanwhile, mains will include pan-fried Cornish slip sole with steamed mussels and monks beard, and wild garlic-crusted salmon with jersey royals in a butter citrus sauce, before McLay will drizzle hot cross bun ice cream with chocolate sauce to finish.

For a much more casual affair, join the From The Ashes team in christening their new home at Five Points Brewing Co. From Friday to Sunday, founders Curtis and Martin will put the spotlight on Scottish Herdwick lamb, staying true to their sustainable practices by using the whole animal. Cooking it asado style over an open fire barbeque, the duo will serve the lamb on grilled flatbreads with lashings of minty chimichurri, while other dishes will include small plates of charred lettuce, thick-cut smoked bacon in ranch dressing and shaved pecorino, and a smoked lamb taco with a parsley, lemon and anchovy sauce. Meanwhile, larger plates will feature pork rib in a barbecue sauce, and a smoked beef bun with adobo mayo and chilli pickles. Plus, on Easter Sunday itself, the pair will serve their version of a Sunday roast – a choice of lamb, half-smoked chicken or smoked beef rump with all the trimmings.
