Reviewers have singled out Huddersfield's best restaurants, with a tiny takeaway and some village restaurants winning plaudits.

Data from TripAdvisor has created a Top 10 list of Huddersfield restaurants and, once again, the list includes an Indian takeaway, Imrans, tucked away in Golcar village. The tiny family-run Imrans takes fifth place.

In top spot is Harvey's in Westgate in the centre of town, with Slaithwaite Indian restaurant Destination in second place.

Third is Volare in Skelmanthorpe (or 'Shat' if you prefer), with Shepherds Arms, Cowcliffe Hill Road, in fourth. Fifth place goes to Imrans, with Harvey's in Fenay Bridge in sixth.

Turkish/Middle Eastern diner Apadana, in Huddersfield town centre, can celebrate seventh spot, while The Scullery Kitchen and Bar is eighth and can be found in Claremont Street, just off Cambridge Road on the edge of the town centre.

Lockwood favourite Grappolo, an Italian restaurant, is in ninth place, with Indian restaurant Haveli in Golcar taking the final spot.

The list was compiled using TripAdvisor data by MG Timber and Online Marketing Surgery.
