Bethenny Frankel Says 'I Won’t “Not” Eat' Junk Food But Adjusts Her Day's Meals Around It
“I do not like the feeling of being full. It’s uncomfortable,” the former Real Housewives of New York City star said
Bethenny Frankel is sharing how she eats junk food like doughnuts and pizza while still remaining “so thin.”
On Thursday, the former Real Housewives of New York City star, 53, posted a video on Instagram answering how she keeps her slim physique, a question she said people ask her every day.
“How do I stay so thin? So, I pick my spots,” the Skinnygirl founder said. “If I know I’m going to some crazy doughnut place or hotdog place, I may not have the meal that comes before that. But I won’t not eat at all, otherwise, you’re gonna go there and overeat on that. It’ll just be a light day.”
“I’m also not eating all the doughnuts, or all the hotdogs or all the pizza,” she explained. “You’re really tasting everything, eating nothing.”
Frankel added that she also focuses on portion control, making sure that she eats just enough to satisfy her hunger.
“I also never binge. I never eat to the point where I’m full,” she said. “Not never, but sometimes. I do not like the feeling of being full. It’s uncomfortable. So if you never eat until you get full, you’ll be fine.”
“I’m also a slow eater and I chew slowly,” she continued while eating a snack. “I chew my food thoroughly.”

Back in July 2022, Frankel posted a video on TikTok also answering how she’s able to "stay so thin."
I don't exercise. I do what I can, when I can," she said at the time. "I'll snowboard if I can, I'll surf if I can. I'll walk on the beach… but I choose sleep first. Sleep is the number one priority and being happy is the number one priority."
"I was probably 20 lbs. heavier in my 30s and I was always on a diet," she admitted, adding that she no longer believes in the idea of exercising to work off calories consumed.
"So I eat what I want, and I don't ever binge. I don't workout and I don't do weights," the reality star continued. "I believe in balance. I believe in sleep, I believe in living, I believe in french fries, I believe in alcohol, and I believe in not being crazy."
"The crazier you get, the worse it gets for you. And as you get older, you realize the zero f---- lifestyle works better," Frankel added.
She explained that she goes for walks and does other activities simply because she wants to and enjoys them, and said anyone who feels "shackled and imprisoned by dieting" is going to be miserable.
