Bette Midler wants Justin Timberlake to apologise to Janet Jackson
Bette Midler is calling for Justin Timberlake to apologise again - this time to Janet Jackson.
The SexyBack singer recently said sorry to his wife Jessica Biel for a “strong lapse in judgement” after he was photographed holding hands with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright during a night out in New Orleans.
Now Midler wants him to make a public apology for their infamous Super Bowl halftime show 2004 where he ripped open her costume to reveal her bare breast to millions of viewers.

The 74-year-old singer tweeted: “#JustinTimberlake publicly apologised to his wife for holding hands with another actress after having too much to drink, but sez nothing else happened. Who cares? He held another woman’s hand, BFD. So when is Janet Jackson’s boob gonna get an apology? #JusticeForJanet [sic]”

In 2004 Timberlake, 38, appeared on stage during 53-year-old Jackson’s Super Bowl half time performance to join her in a duet of his hit Rock Your Body. During the performance he ripped open her PVC bustier to reveal her bare breast complete with a large silver, sun-shaped nipple piercing.
The incident - branded ‘nipplegate’ - caused a huge controversy in what is considered to be a family friendly show viewed by millions. Both MTV and CBS apologised for the “wardrobe malfunction” and Jackson said she was “ truly embarrassing” by the incident.
Due to exposure of the nipple piercing, many speculated that the whole stunt was staged - but Jackson's representative said: "Justin was supposed to pull away the rubber bustier to reveal a red lace bra. The garment collapsed and her breast was accidentally revealed."
Timberlake released a statement saying: "I am sorry that anyone was offended by the wardrobe malfunction during the halftime performance of the Super Bowl. It was not intentional and is regrettable."

Last week Timberlake addressed the rumours surrounding himself and Wainwright on Instagram.
He wrote: “A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better.”
“This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologise to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that.”
Timberlake and actress Biel have been together since 2007. They married in 2012 and have a four-year-old son Silas.
