Beyoncé stuns in surprise appearance during Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade broadcast

The superstar popped up on NBC's telecast to introduce a new teaser for her upcoming "Renaissance" film.

Every day is a holiday when Beyoncé is around, but this year we're extra thankful for the pop icon's surprise appearance during the 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The 42-year-old made a brief cameo Thursday during NBC's live broadcast of the annual parade, appearing in a pre-recorded video message to tease a new trailer for her upcoming Renaissance film documenting her summer tour.

"Hey, it's Beyoncé! Wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving," Beyoncé said in the video. "I'm so honored to share with you the first look at the new Renaissance film trailer."

The clip transitioned to footage from the new Renaissance tour film, in which Beyoncé spoke about the legacy she's built — including breaking the record for the highest-grossing female tour of all time with the concert series the film documents.

"I have nothing to prove to anyone at this point. We are creating our own world. This is my reward," the superstar said in the teaser. "Nobody can take that away from me."

Prior to the debut of the clip, NBC's Hoda Kotb introduced Beyoncé as "the voice of a generation" who graced the network with a "special holiday gift" of her presence.

The Renaissance tour film marks the latest in Beyoncé's growing roster of documentary projects, following 2019's Homecoming concert film on Netflix. Renaissance will also follow the release of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour documentary film that debuted in theaters in October before grossing $246 million globally via a direct distribution deal with AMC versus a typical movie distributor.

Tickets for Beyoncé: Renaissance World Tour film are available for purchase on the singer's website, ahead of its theatrical release on Dec. 1.
