Beyoncé teases details about new haircare brand

Beyoncé has released details about her new haircare brand in a new teaser trailer.

The music superstar confirmed she's branching out by launching a new line Cécred and announced the hotly anticipated release date.

"Hair is sacred. The journey begins Feb 20. Visit CECRED.COM," Beyoncé wrote in the caption to the trailer, which was published on her official website and Instagram account.

In the clip, a group of women were seen busy working in a hair salon called Headliners Hair Salon. Fans were quick to note this was a sweet reference to the salon opened by Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles in Houston in the 1990s.

The promo video also revealed a series of home movies featuring a young Beyoncé with her mother projected onto a white sheet.

Another shot captured the Halo star walking through Headliners back in the '90s.

"Obviously, I grew up in my mother's hair salon," the 42-year-old singer is heard saying in the background of one clip.

The caption accompanying the promo posted on Instagram read, "The rumors are true."

It is believed Cécred will feature a series of shower and styling products including shampoos and conditioners.

Fans have voiced their hopes that the range will cater for a wide range of hair textures and curl types when it hits shelves later this month.
