BGT's Ant McPartlin shares first update since becoming a dad as fans rush to support

Ant McPartlin has been showered with love and support after sharing his first update since the arrival of his new baby.

The beloved TV host and his spouse Anne Marie Corbett celebrated the birth of their first child together earlier this week. Following the news, the presenter has now shared his first update on Instagram, posing with co-host Declan Donnelly as they gear up for tomorrow's show of Britain's Got Talent.

The pair were snapped smiling together enjoying a cuppa out of their own monikered mugs, with the caption reading: "Tea-minus one day until your next fix of #BGT".

Devoted fans flocked to the comments section to send their best wishes to Ant on his journey into fatherhood. One lovingly stated: "Well done Ant you make sure you always love that baby xx" while a second commented: "congratulations Ant."

A third penned: "Cuties. Congratulations on your baby Ant xx Love him already. Another couldn't help but joke, writing: "How awake is Ant?"

"Well done ant you make sure you always love that baby," another comment read. Others expressed their excitement for their return to Britain's Got Talent, with one saying: "Can't wait love seeing you both encouraging the acts in the wings and on stage."

On Tuesday, Ant announced the arrival of his first child with wife Anne-Marie Corbet, reports Liverpool Echo.

Posting on the official Ant and Dec Instagram, he expressed: "Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick McPartlin. "Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy's a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad's a mess!"

Alongside the caption was a black and white photo of adorable baby Wilder in his dad's arms. Previously employed as Ant's assistant, Anne Marie has two children from a previous relationship, with news of the couple becoming parents together sparking excitement.

A source previously told The Sun: "This is the news everyone wanted. Ant and Anne-Marie are beyond delighted. It's no secret that Ant has always wanted children, but that it may never happen for him was something he had, sadly, come to terms with.

"When they found out last year, they were absolutely delighted, but obviously kept the news quiet for as long as possible. To be having a child two years short of his 50th birthday, with the love of his life, is the stuff of dreams for Ant.

"He's already a wonderful, doting father to Anne-Marie's kids, and together they're going to be brilliant parents to this latest addition to the family."
