Big £500k cannabis farm found on Midlands industrial estate

A huge cannabis farm with an estimated value of around £500,000 has been discovered on a Midlands industrial estate. Officers from West Mercia Police raided a property on the Rushock Trading Estate on the A442 Kidderminster Road between Kidderminster and Droitwich last Saturday (April 20).

Inside they found three rooms with 500 cannabis plants being grown inside. No one was at the property at the time and no arrests have been made.

The raid followed a tip-off from a member of the public. The plants found have been seized and will be destroyed, police said.

Chief Inspector David King of Wyre Forest Police said: “Acting on community concerns and intelligence we executed a drugs warrant at an address on the Rushock Trading Estate between Kidderminster and Droitwich on Saturday.

“Though no arrests were made, enquiries are ongoing into this cannabis grow. Grows such as this one are linked to serious and organised crime and we will always act on intelligence to shut down criminal operations like this which have a harmful impact on the communities we protect and serve.”
