The two-hour season finale of Big Brother Season 25 was a nail-biting one that had audiences on the edge of their seat as Jag Bains, Bowie Jane and Matt Klotz battled it out.

The episode culminated with Jag Bains being crowned the winner. He is now the first Sikh contestant to compete and win the game in the series’ history. Bains took home the big prize after a 5-2 vote.

“I am on top of the world. This has been the greatest, greatest experience of my life and to be able to win this — and with integrity and loyalty the whole time — is exactly what I wanted to do,” Bains said after exiting the house. “And I just hope I made my family proud.”

This is the second consecutive historic season for Big Brother. Last season, Taylor Hale became the first Black woman to win the CBS reality competition.

Earlier in Thursday’s episode, Bains competed against Bowie Jane and Matt Klotz to win the finale Head of Household competition. It came down to Klotz and Bains, who had to go head-to-head uncovering false statements about their fellow contestants.

Although he had a final-two alliance with both Klotz and Jane, Bains ultimately chose to honor the former. The two men were the last ones standing in the Big Brother house.

After Bains’ victory, it was also revealed that Cameron Hardin had won America’s favorite houseguest.

Host Julie Chen Moonves also announced a brand new show in the Big Brother universe during Thursday’s finale. Big Brother Reindeer Games, a new, two-week competition featuring a cast of BB legends, will air in December.
