Biggie Smalls Mural Unveiled in Brooklyn on Anniversary of His Death

A mural of rapper Biggie Smalls, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, was revealed on the 26th anniversary of his death in Brooklyn, New York, on Thursday, March 9.

New Yorkers and Biggie fans gathered together on Thursday outside a Key Food Supermarket on Fulton Street and St. James Place, an intersection that was named Christopher Wallace Way in 2019.

According to the Brooklyn Paper, artist John Sears created the new mural of Biggie Smalls out of glass, with a mirror in the middle that “honors the wordsmith”. Credit: NYPD 88th Precinct via Storyful
