A biker has died following a crash with a car in Cornwall today, Monday, May 20. Police were called to reports of a serious crash between a motorbike and a car at 11.47am this morning between the villages of Ladock and Probus.

The rider of a motorbike, a 57-year-old local man, died at the scene after suffering injuries that proved fatal. Any witnesses who may have information are being asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area of the B3275 after the collision. Police closed the road between Ladock and Probus for around seven hours today while specialist forensic collision officers carried out an investigation.

A statement from Devon and Cornwall Police said: “At approximately 1147 hours on Monday 20th May 2024, police received a report of a road traffic collision on the B3275 at Ladock.

“The collision involved a car and motorcycle. As a result of the collision a 57-year-old male from the local area who was the rider of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries. The B3275 was closed whilst the scene was examined by specialist forensic collision investigators.

“Police are appealing for any witnesses that have not already been spoken to that may have seen the collision, or have dash camera footage, to contact police on 101, quoting the log number 332 20/05/24 .”
