Biker taken to hospital after crash that closed major North Wales road

A biker was taken to hospital after a crash that closed a major North Wales road. The two vehicle collision happened on the A494 in Denbighshire at around 1pm with police closing a short stretch of the road.

The road remained closed in both directions as police and the ambulance service responded. Shortly after Ipm, a spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "Road Closed. A494 between the junction with the B5429 and a minor road adjacent to Nantclwyd Hall due to a road traffic collision. Officers are at scene and the road will be re-opened as soon as possible."

Emergency services dealt with the incident and the road reopened before 3pm.

A police spokesperson added that it was a two two-vehicle collision between a car and a motorbike. They added: "The motorcyclist was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and the scene is now passable."
