Bill Turnbull has delivered an update on his health as he continues to battle prostate cancer.

The presenter appeared on Good Morning Britain on Thursday for a chat with former BBC Breakfast colleague Susanna Reid along with Piers Morgan.

Morgan, 55, asked how Turnbull, 64, was doing as he has been shielding due to his vulnerability to the coronavirus.

He replied: "Oh, I'm OK. Good days and bad days and that sort of thing."

"I'm very much helped by the fact that I still work, do my show for Classic FM - Saturdays and Sundays, Piers, 10 til 1," he added.

Turnbull went on to promote his Classic FM Pet Sounds show, a radio programme designed to help anxious pets cope with fireworks around Bonfire Night, leading Morgan to joke that he'd done "enough plugs".

The radio host was in good spirits on the programme as he was quick to call out Morgan when he said Reid, 49, had left Turnbull to join him on ITV.

"She didn't leave me to work with you. She left me to go to ITV and then you popped along to work with her, so let's get that straight," he said.

Turnbull was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017 and made his diagnosis public in 2018.

Earlier this year, the father-of-three said he felt "calm" about the prospect of death and that he had developed "quite a healthy relationship" with it.

He shared he had been making preparations for his death, including parts of his funeral arrangements.
