Boullet will play Poe Rayburn, a role loosely based on the young character in the novel. Poe has the lanky lines of someone growing at a rapid and confusing pace and the attitude that comes with it. She is unhappy about moving to Brazil because of her parent’s decision, spending her days with her wealthy international classmates until a tragic incident changes her perspective on family and life. As the only witness to a terrifying event, Poe quickly learns that her only ally is John Creasy.

Man on Fire is an adaptation based on Quinnell’s Man on Fire and The Perfect Kill, the first two books in Quinnell’s five-book series previously adapted to film in 2004 starring Denzel Washington and in 1987 in an Italian film of the same name. Director Steven Caple Jr. (Transformers: Rise Of The BeastsCreed II) will direct episodes 1 and 2 of the latest incarnation and also serve as executive producer.

Kyle Killen (Halo, Awake, Lone Star) is the writer, executive producer and showrunner. Executive producers are Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Natalie Lehmann for New Regency Productions, which controls rights to the IP and financed the 2004 film; Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Tracey Cook for Chernin Entertainment; and Killen and Scott Pennington for Chapter Eleven. Caple, Ed McDonnell, Michael Polaire and Abdul-Mateen II will also executive produce alongside Stacy Perskie who will executive produce for RedRum.

Boullet, who made her debut in CBBC series The Worst Witch, received a Critics Choice nomination for her portrayal of Anne Frank in Nat Geo and Disney+ series A Small Light. On the film side, she’ll next be seen in sci-fi survival thriller World-Breaker, alongside Luke Evans and Milla Jovovich. Boullet is repped by UTA and Curtis Brown Group.
