All the Birmingham general election candidates for 2024 - full list
The UK General Election is only a few weeks away as voters prepare to choose who will lead the country. All 650 parliamentary constituencies across the country are up for grabs on July 4 - including 10 seats here in Birmingham.
In 2019, the Labour party held eight seats in Birmingham while the Conservatives held the Sutton Coldfield seat. The Conservatives turned Birmingham Northfield blue for the first time in 27 years.
Election campaigning is in full swing in Birmingham as voters decide on matters including foreign policy, immigration, the economy and the environment. We've rounded up below all the people standing in Birmingham for the 2024 general election on July 4.
1) Birmingham Ladywood
In Birmingham Ladywood, one of the nation's most deprived constituencies, voters will have a choice of six candidates to represent them in Parliament.
The seat is currently held by Labour - and has been since the 1970s - but the party may face a considerable challenge from independent pro-Gaza candidate Akhmed Yakoob.

2) Birmingham Yardley
In Yardley, voters will have a choice of six candidates to represent them in Parliament as their local MP. The constituency covers Acocks Green, Sheldon, Small Heath, South Yardley, Tyseley and Hay Mills, Yardley and Stechford.
The Garretts Green ward is now in the Hodge Hill and Solihull North constituency in exchange for the Small Heath ward.

3) Sutton Coldfield
In Sutton Coldfield, six candidates are standing for election to become your local MP. The Tory candidate for Sutton Coldfield is Andrew Mitchell - a veteran politician who has held the seat since 2001. The Conservatives have won in Sutton Coldfield in every election since the Second World War.

It covers Hall Green, Moseley, Kings Heath, Sparkbrook and Springfield.
