Each of the first five series of Celebrity SAS has featured at least one footballer, with Jermaine Pennant, Kieron Dyer, and Wayne Bridge among those who have previously braved the challenge.

Ex-Premier League star Troy Deeney is currently tipped at 2/5 to join the show, following strong rumours of his involvement. A television source revealed to The Sun: "Footballers' competitive streak seems to lend itself to taking part. Troy is likely to discuss some of the most upsetting elements of his life in the interrogation room with the instructors."

They're both at short odds to brave the show where celebs face tough questions about their lives. Thomas Skinner, famed for his Del Boy-esque "he who dares, wins" mantra in the trading world, is pondering a stint on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The ex-Apprentice candidate is a 2/1 bet to trade market deals for military drills, while rapper Lady Leshurr is at 5/2. Corrie's Ryan Thomas stands at 3/1, with former Hollyoaks actor Richard Blackwood at 4/1 to join the ranks.
