A bitter chill is to hit Coventry this weekend before a 'mini heatwave' hits the UK. Warm coats are going to be needed over the coming days according to forecasters.

The latest local Met Office report warns it is going to feel 'rather cool for April' with chilly weather as we head into the weekend and the start of next week. But the weather could be on the up for other parts of the country reports the Mirror, with the north of the country to see warmer weather.

The 'mini heatwave' will be felt in West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Tyne and Wear in comparison with the colder weather further south, including our area.
