BLACKPINK's Rosé named new brand ambassador for Puma

BLACKPINK star Rosé is the latest brand ambassador for sportswear giant Puma.

The K-pop star has joined the German sports brand's star-studded ambassador roster, which also includes Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Dua Lipa and Skepta.

As part of her new role, the Korean-New Zealand singer and dancer "will bring her vision, voice, and unique insights to PUMA's global campaigns and storytelling", amplify the brand's catalogue of classic silhouettes and support the Rewrite the Classics initiative, which celebrates Puma's most timeless franchises.

"I am so excited to join the PUMA family. I cannot wait for my fans to join my next chapter with PUMA," the 27-year-old said in a statement.

In her first promotional video, Rosé walks up to passport control in an airport and has her passport stamped "Welcome to Puma" as a voiceover says, "Her journey starts now."

To kick off the partnership, the singer wears the Palermo style, but she will support other shoes in the Sportstyle category in the future.

"Rosé's remarkable influence on music, fashion, and culture globally are such an inspiration," said Maria Valdes, Chief Product Officer for PUMA. "We are thrilled to embark on this journey with her, where she will play a diverse role, leveraging her knowledge and vision to help us redefine our classic space.

"We are delighted to welcome her to our PUMA family, and we eagerly anticipate the accomplishments we will achieve together."

Rosé, real name Roseanne Park, is already a brand ambassador for the jewellery company Tiffany & Co.

Her bandmate Jennie Kim has brand ties to a rival sports giant; she was unveiled as the face of Adidas's newest Clot Gazelle sneaker campaign earlier this month.
